ABSTRACT

Purpose@#This study aimed to describe the clinical response to five-step systematic therapy (FSST) in the management of plugged ducts and mastitis. FSST was a comprehensive milk stasis dredging treatment, which contained five steps to make the milk out of the plugged duct. @*Methods@#This retrospective study included 922 breastfeeding women, 714 with plugged ducts, and 208 with mastitis who received FSST from June to September 2017. The breast pain score, swelling degree, and range of breast induration were recorded pre-FSST and post-FSST. @*Results@#After a single FSST, pain score and swelling degree were significantly improved (both p < .001) in all cases. After FSST, the mean breast pain relief score was 1.69 ± 0.70, whereas the mean swelling fade away degree was 1.61 ± 0.62. In the subgroup analysis, pain score and swelling degree were significantly improved (both p < .001) in the plugged ducts group and the mastitis group. The score of pain relief in the plugged ducts group was less than that in the mastitis group (1.63 ± 0.68 vs. 1.91 ± 0.70, t = 5.30; p < .001), whereas improvement of swelling fade away was greater in the plugged ducts group than the mastitis group (1.65 ± 0.64 vs. 1.48 ± 0.56, t = 3.49; p = .001). The composition ratio of changes in induration range between the two groups was statistically different (Pearson χ2 = 137.87, p < .001), of which more obvious improvement in the plugged ducts group than the mastitis group (χ2 = 25.65, p < .001). @*Conclusion@#FSST can relieve pain, reduce breast swelling and range of induration, and for plugged ducts or mastitis varied degree differently.

ABSTRACT

This study was aimed to discuss possible problems in the data collection process of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) clinical medicine and to propose appropriate solutions. Based on analysis of clinical data features and data collection demands among 20 TCM clinical research bases, reference were made on key technologies of the Electronic Medical Records' integration and sharing, to propose the solution of TCM clinical data collection. The re-sults showed that proposing the metadata and data entities synchronized intersecting strategy, analyzing key points on this strategy, and proposing appropriate solutions, found the technical processes of the TCM clinical data collec-tion. It was concluded that the analysis and solution on key points of TCM clinical data collection provided the basis and the reference to data collection issues of TCM clinical research base.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the changes of laminin(LN) and fibronectin(FN) expressions in atypical hyperplasia and breast cancer. Methods LN and FN expressions in normal breast tissue, tissues from grade Ⅰ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ atypical hyperplasia and breast cancer were detected by means of S P immunohistochemical staining method. Results In normal breast tissue, LN expression was found only in basement membrane, but FN expression in basement membrane and matrix. In gradeⅠ hyperplasia, LN expression was found in basement membrane and epithelium, but FN expression was similar to that in normal tissue. In grade Ⅱhyperplasia, more LN expression was found in epithelium, but FN expression in epithelium and matrix. In grade Ⅲ hyperplasia, LN expression increased significantly in matrix and decreased significantly in epithelium as compared with those in grade Ⅱ( P

ABSTRACT

Objective To summarize the clinical experiences in partial splenectomy for the treatment of splenic injuries Methods The indications, surgical procedures and surgical outcomes of a total of 105 cases undergoing partial splenectomy for splenic injuries in Southwest Hospital in the past 16 years were analyzed retrospectively Results Sixty seven cases(63 8%) suffered from isolated splenic injury According to splenic injury scale, grade Ⅰ (13, 11 4%), grade Ⅱ (56, 53 3%), gradeⅢ (28, 26 7%) and grade Ⅳ(8, 7 6%) were found in 105 cases of splenic injuries Surgical procedures included segmental splenectomy in 41 cases, hemi splenectomy in 35 cases, subtotal splenectomy in 29 cases and autotransplantation of splenic tissue in 21 cases of splenic injury in children There was no in hospital death in all cases Severe complications of subdiaphragmatic fluid collection and infection occurred in 3 cases, but the patients were cured by conservative treatment Conclusion Partial splenectomy is a safe and reasonable choice for selected patients with splenic injury

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the distribution of ligustrazine hydrochloride in guinea pig blood, cerebrospinal fluid and perilymph fluid afte intramuscular injection. Methods The HPLC was used for determination of ligustrazine hydrochloride in guinea pig blood, cerebrospinal fluid and perilymph fluid afte intramuscular injection by internal and external standard method. Results Ligustrazine hydrochloride could be absorbed into blood rapidly after intramuscular administration in guinea pig. The concentration reach its high level in 20 min.It was 357.76 ?g/ml. It decreased to low level 2 h after injection. It could be found in cerebrospinal fluid 10 min after injection. The concentration reached its high level in 20 min.It was 120.50 ?g/ml.It decreased to low level 70 min after injection. The ligustrazine hydrochloride could be found in perilymph fluid 5 min later. Its high level in 20 min was 215.79 ug/ml.It decreased to low level 70 min after injection. The results indicated that ligustrazine hydrochloride was rapidly absorbed and eliminated after intramuscular administration in guinea pig. Conclusion Ligustrazine hydrochloride can be absorbed into blood, enter cerebrospinal fluid and perilymph fluid. It can pass through blood-brain barrier and blood-labyrinth barrier. The results indicates that ligustrazine hydrochloride is rapidly absorbed and eliminated after intramuscular administration in guinea pig.
